Bridge Navigator Program Announcement: Funding to Support All California Hospital Emergency Departments
Addiction Treatment is the New Standard of Care for California Hospitals Through a $40 Million Grant From the California Department of Health Care Services.
Patients experiencing mental illness and substance use disorder are vulnerable to falling through the cracks of health care systems. But it doesn’t have to be this way. The CalBridge Behavioral Health Navigator Program (Bridge Navigator Program) provides financial support and technical assistance to every hospital in California so that all people experiencing substance use disorder and mental illness have equitable access to evidence-based care. “It is often said that it takes 17 years to go from research to standard practice in medicine, but we don’t have that long. People are dying. The time is now.” encourages Aimee Moulin, MD, Co-Founder of CA Bridge. All communities deserve evidence-based medication for addiction and behavioral health treatment at their local hospital.
